Ecovidrio, la entidad sin ánimo de lucro encargada de la gestión del reciclado de residuos de envases de vidrio en España, ha celebrado un acto conmemorativo en el Congreso de los Diputados para hacer balance de todo lo logrado en los dos primeros años de la aplicación de la Ley 7/2022 de Residuos y Suelos Contaminados para una Economía Circular en España y reflexionar sobre los retos y oportunidades de futuro. El Secretario de Estado de Medioambiente, Hugo Morán, ha sido el encargado de realizar la clausura.
Ecovidrio y FEDIS HORECA, Federación Española de Empresas de Distribución a Hostelería y Restauración, se han unido para poner en marcha un programa que explora, por primera vez en nuestro país, el sistema de logística inversa existente en el circuito HORECA para incrementar la recogida selectiva de envases de vidrio de un solo uso. Esta iniciativa innovadora, que además contempla la puesta en marcha de diversos pilotos, pretende testar una vía de recuperación complementaria al contenedor verde con el fin de reciclar todos los residuos al 100% y convertirlos en nuevos envases.
