What is a prevention plan?
OBJECTIVE: REDUCE WASTE AT ITS SOURCE

A prevention plan is a programme for companies to define objectives and actions aimed at reducing the amount of waste generated from their glass packagings, as well as other environmental impacts associated with the packaging system.

 

By adhering to these plans, companies commit to measures such as the following, among others:

 

  • Reducing the weight of glass packagings
  • Eliminating non-recyclable elements
  • Promoting the use of recycled materials
  • Minimising the use of varnishes and pigments that hinder the recycling process

Due to the prevention plans made the 2017-2019 period we achieved:
